I work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, data science and data-driven decision support. My current focus is on the design and development of AI-based systems and modular AI architectures – from structuring complex problems, through data analysis and prototyping, to the development of intelligent, specialised system components.
A central part of my current work is my own company, nasGO Technologies. As part of this project I have developed the concept of a modular, decentralised AI architecture in which specialised AI units take on different analysis, decision-making and monitoring tasks and are connected with one another by a higher-level coordination logic.
In this work I focus in particular on AI system design, multi-agent and modular AI concepts, data structures, data pipelines, prototyping and the development of web-based AI demonstrators. What interests me is not only the application of individual AI models but, above all, the question of how AI components can be structurally coupled, specialised and integrated in a meaningful way to form robust, operationally closed overall systems.
As an empirical social scientist I have extensive experience in designing, conducting and evaluating research designs, and in analysing complex data, social preferences, behavioural patterns and public opinion. This empirically oriented profile is complemented by a strong interest in, and understanding of, the mathematical representation of theoretical concepts.
This combination of AI, data science and empirical methodology enables me not only to look at AI systems from a technical and conceptual perspective, but also to derive them analytically from mathematical representations, to assess results critically and to put data-driven decisions on a sound methodological footing.
